In 1865, the people of Dorythol prepared to be swept away by a tsunami that the coastal town couldn’t hope to withstand. Miraculously, the impossibly high walls of water halted and withdrew back into the sea, revealing a colossal serrated tooth amidst the washed up debris. Seeing it as a gift from God, the townsfolk dragged the tooth to their settlement and made it into an altar, offering sacrifices unto it in exchange for its continued protective power. Yet, as the shifting frontlines of the Great War presented greater threats than mere natural disasters, so too did the altar demand greater offerings – ones of human flesh, blood, and far, far worse.
